August 2007: Rome the book debuts at Rome DVD Release party

Sponsored by HBO Video and Barneys New York, the Rome: The Complete Second Season DVD release was celebrated in style at Barneys New York, Beverly Hills. Rome luminaries in attendance included James Purefoy (Marc Antony), Polly Walker (Atia), Kevin McKidd (Vorenus), Costume Designer April Ferry, and Co-Creator Bruno Heller.

Guests received copies of the forthcoming official Rome companion book, designed by Stephen Schmidt, Art Director of the visual communications company Duuplex. Published by Melcher Media, in association with HBO, the book is a must-have for all Rome fans, and will be available to the public on 10/1/07. Written by Historical Consultant Jonathan Stamp, with a Foreword by Bruno Heller, the meticulously designed book is illustrated with rich color photography throughout. Featuring key scenes from the series, the book captures and celebrates the artistic vision of Rome.
