On Saturday, December 17th, Just Fabulous of Palm Springs hosted a Marilyn Monroe: Metamorphosis book signing event with author David Wills and book designer Stephen Schmidt. Released in November 2011 by It Books!, Marilyn Monroe: Metamorphosis has garnered rave reviews for its content and design, with particular compliments paid to the exceptional image quality of photos showcased in the book, and the insightful introductory essay by David Wills.

Saturday’s event at Just Fabulous drew a steady crowd of Marilyn fans, with a turnout of well over 100 attendees. By evening’s end all copies of the book had been signed and sold. Everyone seemed to really be enjoying themselves.

Incredible effort goes into producing illustrated books—for example, Marilyn Monroe: Metamorphosis was over two years in the making—so it’s a wonderful experience to celebrate the release of a book with people who really appreciate the final product.

We shared the evening with Julie Newmar, who signed copies of her recently published book The Concious Catwoman Explains Life On Earth. Julie’s fun energy and her group of fans and admirers added to the festive atmosphere.
